Henna gives a very cut reddish maroon shade to the hair and if you keep applying that 4-5 times a month then the shad start getting darker and thicker and the shine increases too, but what if you don’t want to get red hair? What if you don’t like to get orange shade and you like to get black or darker shade at once? Don’t worry, we have the perfect solution for you, we are going to introduce you with Indigo which will solve all the issues of your hair!

What is Indigo? Well! Indigo dye is an organic compound with a distinctive blue color historically, indigo was a natural dye extracted from plants, and this process was important economically because blue dyes were once rare. Nearly all indigo dye produced today is synthetic and since it is dark blue in color and we have been using it to dying clothes for ages, then why cannot we use it to dye hair?

Here is a simple process to dye hair using indigo

Now first of all you need to dye your hair with Henna and what you need to do is, take one cup of Henna and mix it with hot black tea water, no leaves, just water and mix it for 10 minutes till it become a smooth paste and then leave it over night and then add some olive oil in it and mix well, if you have dry hair then you can add some yogurt in the henna paste too and apply it all over your hair too for like 2-4 hours and wash it with plain running water and some mild shampoo, if you really have to, I personally think that you should wash your hair before you apply the henna mixture and then wash your hair with plain water and then apply some drops of baby oil on your wet hair and comb and spread the smoothness and the softness all over your hair and you will see that your hair will turn into orangish shade or if you have supper light shade then you might get red hair shade too and now we will use Indigo.

Now if you have shoulder long hair then 100 grams of indigo would be absolutely fine for you and if you have longer hair then 200 grams of indigo will do, so pick according to the length of your hair, now you need to mix indigo with water and make a thick consistency and apply it to your hair immediately, you don’t need to leave it and apply it all over your hair and then cover your head with shower cap and let it stay on your for 30 minutes or so and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

You will not get the result immediately because it will take Indigo one day to oxidize completely and then you will see the real result, you will get Jet black hair.
